Flutterbye x Greywoods Toothache Purple

FLUTTERBYE (Childs F) 1981 DOR DIP Petals are deep lavender with a wide, lighter lavender edge - can almost appear near-white - and slight ruffling. Creamy yellow throat fading to lettuce green heart. Sometime the sepals actually recurve into themselves and appear paler in color than the petals. Early to midseason. 6” blooms, 26” scapes. Sorry! No picture of Greywoods Toothache Purple, but take my word for it, it's a beauty.

GREYWOODS TOOTHACHE PURPLE (Wilkinson 01) Dor. 30” late midseason - late bloomer. Hybridizer Darlyn Wilkinson writes: a spidery 7 1/2”+ UF that twists and rolls - a hot lavender violet that turns iridescent by evening. A big yellow center blends into a cream applique halo and joins the whitish midribs. Vivid green throat. Moderate bud count, but lots of scapes and it blooms into mid August here. Fertile and a most unusual color.
